Global move to low emission farming

More than 45 nations, states and provinces are developing REDD+ programmes to lower their carbon emissions from deforestation and forest degradation. This has resulted in a 2% reduction in total global emissions. However, this progress is under threat as rising commodity prices drive further expansion of agricultural and livestock production into forests and woodlands.
