Solidaridad Network Annual Report 2010: Insufficient supply of sustainable produced goods

June 6, 2011

"Now that sustainability has become a mainstream ambition in the corporate sector, the task is to ensure a sufficient supply of sustainably produced goods. Progress is no longer constrained by the level of demand, but by the level of supply..."

The above is a quote by Solidaridad Network director Nico Roozen which you can find in our Annual Report 2010. In this report you can find the highlights from the nine regions in which Solidaridad is active. It was the year of sustainable coffee, of the first Fairtrade Fairmined gold and of the approved standard of responsible soy.

"Market process must deliver socially desirable outcomes. Sustainable markets are created through the interaction between good governance, active civil society organizations and companies committed to corporate social responsiblility, says Nico Roozen.
