Alliance for Responsible Mining (ARM)

Strategic partner of Solidaridad for the Fairtrade component of the Gold Program. Solidaridad has been supporting ARM since 2006.

ARM has developed a global standard for responsible artisanal gold mining practices, which became an official FLO Fairtrade Standard in mid-March 2010. The joint initiative will be labeled, 'Fairtrade/Fairmined'.  

Solidaridad is working with ARM on the establishment of a sustainable gold chain based on the Fairtrade/Fairmined standard. We are now also collaborating with ARM on producer development in Latin America and Africa for the training of miners on the new gold standard.
