Job description
Solidaridad is a global civil society organization working on fostering solutions for sustainable production practices across various supply chains. Our mission is to bring together supply chain players and engage them with innovative solutions to improve production, thus ensuring the transition to a sustainable and inclusive economy that maximizes benefit for all. Solidaridad is an international network organization consisting of seven Regional Expertise Centers (RECs) located around the world (Asia, Southern Africa, East and Central Africa, West Africa, Latin America, North America and Europe), each with their own specific expertise and focus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for an intern to support the work of our IT colleagues, in particular in the development and implementation of our cybersecurity framework. A Risk assessment and evaluation report and recommendations is available, which now needs to be implemented. You will help with the further rollout of our information security policy and the implementation of the recommendations from the Risk assessment.
Your role will include carrying out the following tasks in particular:
- Assist in updating our Information security policy to be fit for purpose, such as requirements on the use of Software as a Service (SaaS) applications, and procedures on backup and recovery
- Support with the development of the Business continuity plan, including strategies for necessary recovery measures, prioritization of processes, and communication with stakeholders
- Support with the development of the Business contingency plan, describing responses to the identified risks, and the Incident response plan on how to handle security incidents
- Support in strengthening our hardware management; propose control measures that minimize the risks for the use of mobile devices, and by allowing employees to use their own hardware resources (BYOD)
- Assist in developing cyber security related awareness training; seek and analyze topics and trends on how to increase cyber security awareness of Solidaridad employees
- Set up and run a simulation of an incident (f.e. a cyberattack) to test the security framework and incident response capabilities

- Currently studying towards a Master’s degree in Information Management, Security Management or Cybersecurity, or another relevant field at a Dutch HBO or University;
- Excellent analytical and writing skills

- Service-oriented, pro-active and a team player
- Ability to connect and work with people from all backgrounds and cultures
- Excellent command of Dutch and English is required
- Allowed to work in the Netherlands
