We believe it is essential that the personal details of our partners, relations and donors are handled and protected with the utmost care. We always comply with the requirements set by the General Data Protection Regulation.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

In this privacy statement, we would like to inform you about the processing of personal data. Solidaridad processes personal data for the purpose of its donor records, fund-raising programmes and to provide information on its activities. We therefore would like to inform you about how we handle personal data.

RESPONSIBILITY

In line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Solidaridad is responsible to comply with legal requirements where personal data is concerned.

We believe it is essential that the personal details of our partners, relations and donors are handled and protected with the utmost care. The most important thing is that we always comply with the requirements set by the General Data Protection Regulation.

HOW DO WE OBTAIN YOUR DATA?

Solidaridad obtains your personal data in various ways. For example, when a donation is made via your bank, our website or our social media: your name, address, salutation and account number will be processed. This information is required for registering and processing your donation.

If you contact us, your personal data can also be processed. Consider, for example, the moment you contact our front office by email or telephone, or if you register for our email newsletter. In this case we process your email address and your name.

We can also process your data that you share online with us, for example via our social media. This enables us to offer you targeted and relevant information, for example, through advertisements and marketing activities.

WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

Solidaridad treats your personal data in a confidential way. We ensure that appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data are in place.

WHAT DATA DOES SOLIDARIDAD COLLECT FROM ME?

Solidaridad collects various personal data, i.e. the following:

  • name,
  • email address,
  • interaction data (for example, cookies on our website that improve your user experience or information that is received when you contact us; for example, a note of the conversation is stored).

Solidaridad collects (personal) data directly from you, but in some cases Solidaridad also receives personal data via third parties insofar as this is in accordance with the law. In that case we become responsible for your data and ensure adequate protection and proper use of this data.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR DATA FOR?

Solidaridad does not store your personal data for longer than necessary. Our aim is to destroy personal data as soon as we no longer need it. We make your data useless by encrypting, anonymizing, or deleting it. Some data is saved because it is required by a financial and / or fiscal obligation. In that case, your data will be stored for up to seven years.

SHARING DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES

Solidaridad never sells your personal data to third parties. We may, however, temporarily share your personal data with a partner who provides services at our request, such as a research office or a call center. In addition, we may use IT systems from suppliers, where the supplier also has access to the system on which your personal data is processed. In all cases, we ensure that these third parties comply with good safeguards in the area of privacy and security by entering into data processing agreements with them. A data processing agreement states how your privacy is protected and secured.

VIEW, MODIFY OR DELETE YOUR DATA

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have a number of rights with regard to your personal data:

  • You can correct the information we have requested from you or have it removed.
