Responsibilities

The Project Management Officer provides administrative and organizational support related to projects, programmes and contracts. You work together with the other Project Management Officers and Legal and Quality Officer and provide proactive support to teams to enable smooth and accurate processes. You report directly to the Operations Manager. The Project Management Officer may be asked to collaborate in global network teams. 

In this position you will:

  • Support grant and project managers in the development and amendments of legal (financing and non-financing) contracts;
  • Manage the development of contracts from start to end, ensure contracts are complete and meet legal requirements and internal quality standards;
  • Ensure a smooth payment process by preparing and submitting payment requests and managing the approval process;
  • Archive project documents both digitally and in a paper archive;
  • Keep contract and account information in the information system up-to-date;
  • Signal improvements in systems, processes and procedures;
  • Support and train colleagues in contracting procedures and required data processing in the information system (Salesforce);
  • Supports colleagues with the development of reports, dashboards and analytics;
  • Supports the organization with assessments, non-financial audits, and improvements of procedures.

Profile

You are accurate, precise and know how to engage with colleagues and/or stakeholders to make them aware of the importance of solid (contract) processes. You understand the digital systems within the organization and like to proactively share your knowledge of, and experience in, these systems and how to best use them for our project management. You are service oriented, enjoy working with others, and have strong problem solving skills.

The successful candidate has:

  • Relevant higher education degree;
  • Knowledge of and insight in contract and administrative processes of an organization;
  • General understanding of legal matters in contract development;
  • Experience in project or grant management support;
  • Experience of working in information systems, preferably Salesforce;
  • Experience in process analysis and improvement;
  • Excellent command of the English language; Dutch is an advantage;
  • Skilled in maintaining contacts at different levels;
  • Ability to quickly adapt and function in an international environment;.
  • A strong commitment to and interest in Solidaridad’s mission and work;
  • Is allowed to work in the Netherlands.

Our offer

  • A unique and rewarding job within an inspiring and international setting, starting as soon as possible; 
  • You will join the Operations team in Utrecht, and will have the opportunity to work with an innovative and dedicated network of professionals across the world;
  • A one-year contract with the possibility of extension, 36 hours/week; 
  • Gross salary between EUR 2945,77 and EUR 4440,57, based on 36 hours/week (salary scale 8 or 9) depending on level of experience and background;
  • An additional holiday allowance (standard in the Netherlands) will be paid to the employee in May of every calendar year. The holiday allowance is 8% of the gross salary earned in the period from 1 June up to and including 31 May, prior to the date of the payment;
  • In addition, Solidaridad pays an end-of-year allowance equivalent to 8.3% of the gross annual salary earned;
  • Solidaridad offers a non-contributory pension plan;
  • Contribution to moving expenses; 
  • Location: Utrecht, the Netherlands
