Exciting news! Fairtrade and Fairmined-certified gold, previously available only in the U.K., is now available to jewellers in Denmark. I am looking forward to talking about the social and environmental benefits of this special gold with Danish jewellers, metalsmiths and the public at the upcoming Copenhagen Jewellery Fair.
The event will take place at the Bella Center in Copenhagen on Thursday and Friday, August 25th and 26th. We will be sharing information about the miners in Peru, Bolivia, Colombia and Ghana who are working with Solidaridad and our partners. Interested jewellers and metalsmiths will be able to register for a license to trade in certified gold with Fairtrade Mærket Denmark, who will join us at the fair.
We are excited that ethical jeweller Anna Moltke-Huitfeldt will also be there with us, with a selection of her work made from Oro Verde gold. We will be located in Booth C2-41. The fair is open to all.
