Solidaridad East & Central Africa Strategy 2026 – 2030

Solidaridad East & Central Africa is advancing inclusive, climate-resilient, and market-driven supply chains across Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Our strategy for 2026–2030 responds to a rapidly evolving development landscape in which small-scale farmers, workers, miners, MSMEs, and civil society organizations face structural barriers to equitable market participation and benefits.

Our strategy for 2026–2030 positions producers as drivers of inclusive and regenerative growth. Solidaridad East & Central Africa will leverage its existing and mobilize new catalytic partnerships to:

  • Co-create models that stimulate alternative supply chains, intensify farms, diversify incomes (value addition), and improve food and nutrition security
  • Expanding inclusive service delivery models that give small-scale producers and enterprises better access to services, markets, and finance
  • Aligning with sustainability standards, both mandatory and voluntary to drive long-term, systemic change
  • Championing decent work for farm and factory workers
  • Supporting climate adaptation and mitigation through regenerative, climate-resilient, and locally led solutions
  • Enabling transitions to low-carbon operations, scaling Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) models, and insetting strategies that reward small-scale farmers and enterprises while delivering measurable environmental benefits
