Partnering for Better Livelihoods in the Gold Supply Chain

From December 2013 to March 2017, Solidaridad partnered with Cartier Philanthropy. Together, they implemented the Partnering for Better Livelihoods in the Gold Supply Chain programme in Ghana and Peru.

Through access to health facilities, the programme aimed at improving miners’ working conditions and livelihoods, while providing support for women to generate income. In 2017, the final report came out. Its findings display a clear contribution to the improvement of health and safety in mining communities.
